Telefication BV specializes in testing and certification of wireless, Telecom, Maritime, Fire and Security devices.

Located in the Netherlands, Telefication is dedicated to provide services to clients operating in the Electronic Industry, such as Electronic orientated R&D companies, Governments, local resellers and test laboratories, with no limitation to the geographical areas.

With over 20 years of experience and our well qualified team and system, Telefication is proud to be a one stop certification house issuing European R&TTE, American FCC, Canadian IC and Japan MIC

a) European NB

Telefication has been designated as a Notified Body (NB) by the Dutch government for the following directives:

  • All equipment falling under the scope of the R&TTE Directive;
  • All IT or ITE equipment falling under the scope of the EMC Directive;
  • All IT or ITE equipment falling under the scope of the LVD Directive.

b) American TCB

Telefication is designated by the Dutch government as TCB (reg. no. NLUSAMRARD) under the Mutual recognition Agreement (MRA) between Europe and the USA on August 21, 2000. The designation comprises the full scope (Licensed Radio, Unlicensed Radio and Telecom Terminal Equipment). Since 2001, Telefication is handling USA approvals under its designation. 

  • Low Power Transmitters below 1 GHz (except Spread Spectrum), Unintentional Radiators, EAS (Part 11) & Consumer ISM devices;
  • Low Power Transmitters operating above 1 GHz (except Spread Spectrum);
  • Unlicensed Personal Communication System (PCS) devices;
  • UNII devices & low power transmitters using spread spectrum techniques;
  • Personal mobile radio services equipment in the following 47 CFR Parts 22 (cellular), 24, 25, 26 & 27;
  • General Mobile Radio And Broadcast Services equipment in the following 47 CFR Parts 22 (non-cellular), 73, 74, 90, 95 & 97;
  • Maritime & Aviation Radio Services equipment in 47 CFR Parts 80 & 87;
  • Microwave Radio Services equipment in 47 CFR Parts 21, 74 & 101;
  • Telecommunication Telephone Equipment in 47 CFR Part 68. (TIA-968-A)

c) Industry Canada TCB

Telefication is designated by the Dutch Radio Agency (a department of the Ministry of Economical Affairs) as Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) under the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) between Europe and Canada. On 25 February 2003, Telefication has become active the first Foreigh Conformity assessment Body (identified as "FCB" in the Canadian law) for Industry Canada, related to Telecommunication Terminal Equipment (TTE) and Radio Equipment.

  • Category I Radio Equipment; (all related RSS standards)
  • Telecommunication Telephone Equipment. (TAPAC)

d) CAB Japan

Telefication is authorized to act as a CAB Japan as of 14 February 2003. The Japanese MPHPT decided to give Telefication the identification number "201". This number has to be included in the marking of products approved by Telefication for the Japanese market.

The designation includes the full scope for Telecommunications Terminal Equipment and Radio Equipment:

  • Terminal equipment for the purpose of calls (all equipment),
  • Terminal equipment except for the purpose of calls (all equipment);
  • Type I specified radio equipment (all equipment),
  • Type II specified radio equipment (all equipment),
  • Type III specified radio equipment (all equipment);
  • Performance Certification (all equipment)
